Always looking for young talents in the world of comics and original projects, the Rider Comicsthe first publishing house in Lucca completely dedicated to the ninth art founded by Antonio De Rosa, will present two volumes at Lucca city of paperon 27 and 28 April at the Real Collegio.
Tomorrow (27 April) at 12.30 in the Leopardi Room, the graphic novel will be presented The scoundrels of the Gothic line, the latest publication from Rider Comics, edited by Diletta Giotti (writer) and Giulia Iori (artist). The story takes place not far from Lucca, between Mediavalle and Garfagnana, along that line that 80 years ago divided war-torn Italy in two. The comic novel is based on research conducted at the archives of the Historical Institute of the Resistance of Lucca, the national peace park of Stazzema and the Museum of Memory of Borgo a Mozzano. The presentation of the meeting, which will see the participation of Giotti and Iori, will be moderated by Antonio Amatulli.
On Sunday (28 April) still in the Sala Leopardi, but at 1pm, it will be presented for the first time in Lucca Nico & Cice. Travel diary: Luccawhich starred in Lucca comics and games with a signature of copies. Nico is a very particular detective: he is 12 years old and travels throughout Italy together with his sister Cice, a popularizer of TikTok, who supports him by documenting what happens and preventing Nico from getting into trouble. Their research begins in Lucca, crossing the stories of monuments and characters of local culture. The comic book is made up of six stories based on the culture of Lucca: Lucrezia Buonvisi, the Luccan Nun of Monza; Lucida Mansi, the Beauty of Mirrors; the Tower of Hours, the largest clock in the city; the Guinigi Tower and its ‘hanging garden’, symbol of the Lordship of Lucca; the Volto Santo, the wooden crucifix and famous route of the Via Francigena; the Walls of Lucca, the most famous monument of the city.
