The approach of a new Atlantic trough to Western Europe will bring bad weather back to the North-West over the weekend. Rain and showers are already affecting parts of Piedmont, Liguria, Lombardy and in a more scattered manner also the central regions. In Piedmontin correspondence with the most intense showers, are also recorded hailstormslike the one that hit Rocchetta Palafea, in the Asti area.

Among the most relevant rainfall data, we highlight: 17mm in Trivero, 16mm in Graglia, 15mm in Bielmonte, 12mm in Traversella, Borgosesia, Colleretto, Meugliano, 7mm in Biella.

It is snowing in the Alps with snow levels above 900-1200 metres, higher up in the Cuneo area, but the snow levels will increase over the weekend. A heavy snow shower hit Oropaa location at 1000 meters above sea level in the Biella area.
