“The attack fortunately did not have serious consequences on people, but in just a few seconds a good part of the proceeds of a splendid April 25th, the work of many volunteers, the collaborators of Casa Cervi, and the enthusiasm of a public went up in smoke involved and generous”, explains the Institute. “A slap in the face to all the people of Casa Cervi” said the president Albertina Soliani. “This House continues to be in the crosshairs, 80 years ago set on fire by fascists, today the target of this aggression,” he adds. The investigations are ongoing, started by the Carabinieri. The Institute “is in constant contact with the police forces and the mayors of the area, and has already received in these hours the solidarity of many citizens and volunteers who remain close to the 25 April and at Casa Cervi”.

Shortly afterwards, the message of solidarity from Anpi also arrived: “We express maximum and passionate solidarity”, said the national president of Anpi Gianfranco Pagliarulo. “A very serious fact, for which we hope for the immediate identification of the perpetrators and their bringing to justice”. Deer Houseconcluded Pagliarulo, “is a fundamental place for anti-fascist memory and culture, and no one must dare to violate it and attack it criminally”.
