Civic elections in Paganica and San Gregorio, Galletti replies to Ferella and Petrocco

L’AQUILA – “As always, the local elections for the Separate Administration of Civic Use Goods are tough and hard-fought, but this time our competitors have gone beyond respect for the person and the documented truth of the facts, with declarations from which shows poor participation, lack of knowledge of the critical issues and also a certain opportunism of the moment”. He states it Fernando Gallettioutgoing president of the separate administration of the civic uses of Paganica and San Gregorio, re-nominated in the elections for the renewal of the council, in list number 3, together with Angela Rossi, Chiara De Paulis, and Gianluca Cinque.

Galletti intends to respond to what was stated in the press by the challengers Daniele Ferella, municipal councilor of the League, from list number 2, and by Domenico Petrocco, from list number 1.

Voting is reserved for residents of the two hamlets of L’Aquila on Sunday 28 April from 9am to 8pm, at the Paganica primary school polling station, with the need to show only the identity card. List number 3 invites voters to tick only the list, without preferences.

Galletti therefore explains, “the former councilor Ferella, now demoted to city councilor, would like to ‘reset’ everything and start from scratch, forgetting his seven years of active administration in which, in our view, he should have thought about resolving the problems of our community, which now has between 8,000 and 10,000 inhabitants. Among these critical issues we can include the open-air sewers in the La Concia area, the presence of salmonella in the waters of the Vera river, the situation of the reconstruction underground services, the road network (interrupted by the collapse of bridges), the inconvenience of the elderly and the lack of services suited to their needs, as well as the issue of watering livestock in the mountains, with the capture of water from the Faieto”.

And Galletti adds: “as regards the statute, Ferella probably ignores the fact that a new statute is already ready to be submitted to the assembly, forgetting that the transition from ASBUC to ADUC would be the death of many small administrations, which is why we are firmly against. Finally, the ‘streets’, as they are called by former councilor Ferella, cover a route of tens of kilometres, which this administration has maintained for around 15 years, following reports from the users themselves. We also wish to underline the administrative conflicts caused by the current Municipality of L’Aquila which implements political blackmail, such as for example on the issue of the Snam gas pipeline, or in the case of refusal for the development of country roads, on the refusal to supply help with the appropriate means to remove the biomass produced following the ecological campaign in the park of the Castello church and on the loss of pastures in the Santogna area. And the list is even longer and I’ll stop here.”

On the question of the funds to be attracted, “we remind Ferella that the tenders and available opportunities are reviewed weekly, which are rare for our category. Despite this, over the years, PIT funds have been intercepted for the low and high path of the Madonna d’Appari, of the Carispaq foundation for the excavations in the S. Egidio area, of the Gran Sasso Park and of the Monti della Laga for the purchase and burial of tanks, the renovation of the roofs of the Fossa and S. Egidio refuges, as well as the purchase of a pipe of approximately 88 meters and galvanized sheet metal tanks for the watering of livestock and the transport of water causes drought.”

On the “transparency” chapter, Galletti continues, “we would like to point out that no one has ever been interested in participating in a council meeting, or in asking for clarifications regarding a resolution or publications in general, or in viewing the budget estimates. It almost seems that the opinions expressed by Ferella regarding the council’s decisions, discussed, transcribed and approved unanimously, are the result of information collected absentmindedly and reported in a distorted way”.

Galletti therefore replies to the candidate Domenico Petrocco.

“We wish him and the other candidates the best wishes regarding the tourist use of our beautiful Madonna d’Appari valley, today under attack by Snam and its local acolytes. The outgoing administration at the time took steps to create a map of the area, now displayed along the path, complete with the names of the tourist operators and directions to reach them. The valorization of our unique valley is the subject of great attention, it is no coincidence that there is the intention to build a Tibetan bridge that unites the different tourist realities of the place. We have also regained possession of the Mill and the Luiggiò farmhouse, for which there are plans for future restructuring and valorisation, shared by all citizens. Near the farmhouse there are the Fonte Verrone and La Forma springs, on which we carry out maintenance together with the local natural resources, and near which there is also the water tank for irrigating gardens and vegetable patches and for watering”.

Finally the reply to the young Federico Ricci and Massimiliano Pieri in list 1 together with Petrocco.

“Our candidate Chiara De Paulis has been following the administrative processes for about three years, including the most complex ones, including agro-forestry-pastoral matters, declassification, alienations, national laws. Candidate Pieri’s declarations leave no time to go, given that a few years ago he made a request to the Abruzzo Region for an Administration separate from Paganica and only for San Gregorio, of which this administration takes charge of all the existing problems. The Region decided to refuse this request, since San Gregorio is an integral part of Paganica”.

“As outgoing president, I wish a peaceful election day to all the citizens of Paganica and San Gregorio, recommending the careful choice of a motivated, transparent team and above all with the desire to solve our immense problems”, concludes Galletti.
