APRILIA, TARI REDUCTIONS FOR FAMILIES AND PRODUCTION ACTIVITIES

A tariff reduction on the Tari, with an average of 4% for domestic users and 6.87% for non-domestic users. The administration’s choice to support productive activities and families and face an unfavorable economic situation was the subject of the finance commission that took place this morning, useful for discussing the new Tari regulation, the quality charter of the management service of municipal solid waste, the Tari 2024-2025 financial plan and the waste tax rates for 2024, in view of the next approval in the city council.

The data contained in the document discussed in the classroom by the finance councilor Gemma Stampatore reconstructs a percentage reduction in the tariff with a significant impact on domestic and non-domestic users. Compared to 2023, the average reductions will be 6.87%, with a particularly significant impact for offices (from 8.82 euros/m2 to 8.23 euros/m2), for professional studios (from 7.26 euros/ m2 to 6.75 euros/m2), for artisan workshops (from 6.25 euros/m2 to 5.83 euros/m2), but also for restaurants (from 20.53 euros/m2 to 19.16 euros/m2 ) and bars (from 15.47 euros/m2 to 14.44 euros/m2).

The reductions will also concern domestic users, with an overall average of 4% and particular attention to the elderly and fragile situations.

“The tariff reductions that we are preparing to approve in the city council – underlines the finance councilor Gemma Stampatore – depend on the increase in the taxable surface area, because the fight against tax evasion has allowed us to register users in the registry who were unknown to the Tax Office. Pay everyone to pay less, the logic we have espoused. Despite the debt exposure and the difficulties we have had to face in recent months, we have worked to guarantee our concrete support for production activities”.

“We are satisfied – underlines Mayor Lanfranco Principi – to be able to reduce the impact that the Tari will have on people’s lives and on production activities. We kept the promise made the day after reaching the settlement agreement linked to the Falcone e Borsellino park ruling, which was to not face this debt exposure by reaching into citizens’ pockets. We are doubly happy to have succeeded in further alleviating the cost of the waste tariff, both for citizens and for businesses”.
