Piacenza Baseball reinforces the roster with the young Argentine Luca Braccini
Descriptive text here

A few days before the second round of the championship, Piacenza Baseball adds a piece to its chessboard by inserting the young pitcher Luca Braccini from Argentina into the bull-pen. Eighteen years old, left-handed (176cm – 71kg.), Under 18 national team in his country, in his first experience in Italy he will certainly be able to make himself useful to the red and white cause during a season that appears long and difficult. Furthermore, his young age fits perfectly with the project launched this year by Piacenza. Baccini has been in Italy for a couple of days, he has already trained at De Benedetti and in these hours the registration procedures will be completed in order to be able to make him available to Andrea D’Auria already on Sunday against Brescia. Since he also holds an Italian passport, he will be able to be used in both matches.

Luca has been practicing baseball for several years, coming from a family in which bats and gloves are absolutely at home (his father is president of the Argentine Federation, ed.). At home his club is Daom, one of the most prestigious in Argentina, with which he has already achieved notable results at youth level. His arrival gives continuity to Piacenza’s relationship with the Argentine bat and run, which has gradually consolidated and over time has brought to our latitudes several white and blue internationals such as Ezequiel Cufrè, still the team’s point of reference today, Mauro Schiavoni, Mariano Boccardo and Pablo Leone. The latter, then, as coach, had Braccini at his disposal no later than last December at the South American U18 Championships played at home in Salta. On this occasion, Braccini, wearing the Argentine jersey, made two appearances on the mound against Brazil and Peru. Now for him this further experience in the Old Continent, which will certainly be useful to him in the continuation of a career that is largely yet to be written.
