CAMPOBASSO – The Regional Council has approved by majority the 2024-2026 economic and financial document and the multi-year forecast budget. The council meeting in this morning’s session voted by majority (14 in favor and 6 against) the Regional Economy and Finance Document (DEFR) 2024-2026. The president of the First Commission explained the Document to the Chamber, who dismissed with a positive opinion on the act, Roberto Di Pardo, followed by the interventions for the declaration of vote of the Councilors Roberto Gravina, Angelo Primiani, Alessandra Salvatore, Roberto Di Pardo and the President of the Regional Council Francesco Roberti.
Di Pardo highlighted how the document starts from a careful and in-depth analysis of the international, European, national and therefore regional socio-economic context. The strategic political objectives pursued by government action are then defined, grouped by financing programs: regional programming ERDF ESF Molise 2021 – 27; PSC program; agricultural and agri-food policies, rural development, fisheries and forestry planning; regional health program, the PNRR Molise. The accounting framework that feeds regional finance has therefore been defined and therefore competes with the other funds to support the strategic choices made by the Document. In line with these objectives, general and specific strategic directions are dictated to the companies owned by the Region.
The Regional Council subsequently approved by majority (14 votes in favour, 5 against and 1 abstention) the multi-year budget forecast for the financial years 2024-2026. The speaker and Vice President of the Regional Council, Stefania Passarelli, illustrated the provision.
“The budget document – highlighted the rapporteur Passarelli – was drawn up on the basis of the expenditure recorded in 2023, taking into account the various financial needs valued by the administrative structures of the Regional Council and pursuing, as far as possible, the objectives of further containment of expenditure indicated in current state legislation, already significantly implemented in previous years.” The overall requirement of the Regional Council was, based on the proposed stability law for the years 2024/2026 approved by resolution of the Regional Council, contained in the amount of €5,900,000.00.
