Tomorrow, Saturday 27 April from 4pm to 7.30pm in the Multimedia Room of Teleliguriasud, in Piazzale Papa Giovanni XXIII the conference “Alienum a ratione” will take place. Social teaching, role of the Churches and civil society for the promotion of peace in the face of the fragmented third world war”.

The conference, which will be introduced by the bishop of La Spezia, Luigi Ernesto Palletti, sees the participation of authoritative speakers, and is intended as a moment of in-depth analysis and discussion with many voices on the social teaching of the Church and on the role of the Churches and society civil for the promotion of peace in the current international context. It is promoted by the following organizations in La Spezia: Acli, Catholic Action, Betania friends of Sermig, Caritas Diocesana, Focolare Movement with the adhesion of the Evangelical Baptist Church, Evangelical Methodist Church, members and associates of Banca Etica di Genova – La Spezia and of the La Spezia peace and disarmament network.

The appointment next Saturday 18 May is intended as a moment of preparation, in-depth analysis and discussion in view of the event “Arena di Pace 2024” to be held in Verona on 18 May to which Pope Francis has invited the Italian popular movements to give life to a great event of reflection on Peace.
