The January-March 2024 data confirm the good health of tourism in Emilia-Romagna.
Attendance is growing of Italian and foreign tourists in the first quarter of the year, + 9.9% compared to 2023 (+11.9% on 2019), and the arrivals +9.3% again compared to last year (+5.4% on 2019).
They are still increasing foreign tourists+15.5%, an increase of 13.3% compared to 2023 (+15.9% compared to 2019).
As a percentage, the City of art and businessdriven by Tourist Destinations, weigh on the regional tourist movement for the 43.6% from the attendance and the 47.6% of the Arrivals overall, followed by Riviera (31.8% of attendance and 27.9% of arrivals).

City of art and business
The Art City and Businesses grow for attendance of the +4.8% on 2023 (+ 13.7% on 2019) and for Arrivals of the +3% on 2023 (+4.5% on 2019).
Positive trend also in Piacenza. Considering the entire province, arrivals increased by 6.8% compared to the same period in 2023, overnight stays increased by 2.9%. Foreign tourists are increasing (+6.7%) but this is transient tourism, probably part of tours, because this increase does not correspond to a growth in overnight stays.
In Piacenza city, however, the growth is even greater with a 10.9% increase in arrivals and an 8.4% increase in overnight stays.
Impressive growth for Bobbio. Overnight stays increased by 34.9%, overnight stays by foreign tourists increased by 94.6%. In Castell’Arquato total overnight stays increased by 89.3%. Positive trend also for Castel San Giovanni: foreigners who chose to stay overnight increased by 54.8%.
