It’s only been a year since God Save the Vintage published the video “Blood Partisans”, a collection of some of the darkest facts of the myth of the “liberating partisan”. A country devastated by civil war, a country occupied militarily, massacres committed for political ideologies or even for personal revenge. Yet, 79 years after the end of the war, even today it has not been possible to bring peace to a people conveniently divided by party politics. Where in many other nations the fallen on all fronts are commemorated, in Italy we continue to distinguish a red death from a black death, inciting a hatred that is so useful for political ostracism but at the same time so divisive for our compatriots. And while everything falls apart, we are not given the chance to end a national feud. How to solve the problem once and for all? Accept the mistakes and acts of heroism on both fronts, understand that we have been brought into a fratricidal confrontation, begin to think as a united people and not as a chaos of propaganda colours. It certainly won’t be phony monologues or violent and hypocritical Antifa reactions that will dispel the divisions. In the meantime, in addition to inviting you to advise us on new topics to further delve into the tragic events that led Italy to the civil war, we propose once again the viewing of our video, which certainly has not aged badly.
