They named him Honey. That is Honey. And there’s nothing sweeter than seeing him take his first steps. He is a dog found in recent days in a rubbish bin in the Cruillas district of Palermo. He was overwhelmed by bags of waste. He was bleeding from his mouth and had two holes in his head, the result of two blows with a pickaxe.

Taken to a veterinary clinic, there seemed to be no hope for him: Honey was in a coma with a brain hemorrhage and risked dying or suffering serious brain damage. On April 25, on Liberation Day, Valeria Galletti was back on her feet. The dog seems to have responded well to the therapies and is showing important signs of recovery.

However, the vets found walking problems: “Seeing a lameness, the doctors took an x-ray of the hind limbs where they found a micro fracture which the orthopedist will be able to see better” writes the animal rights activist on his Facebook page where, however, he makes no secret of be confident: “Honey is making a clear recovery and we just hope to celebrate when he resigns. Life and good have won over evil this time! I promised Honey and myself that we will leave the clinic on a leash!”.
