The Municipality of Varese informs that, starting from Tuesday 30 April 2024they will open registrations for municipal extracurricular services for the 2024/25 school year. Applications must be made exclusively online by accessing the portal https://varese.ecivis.it/ECivisWEB/ with SPID or CIE. Registrations will close on 30 May 2024.
«There are many services offered by the Municipality of Varese – explains councilor Rossella Dimaggio – from the morning until 6.30 pm, the administration guarantees a range of possibilities for a better balance of family time». In fact, we start in the morning with the service before school, i.e. the moment of welcoming children during which recreational activities, reading moments or small workshops are organised, waiting for the educational activities to begin. The reception of children is possible during the entire time slot 7.30 – 8.00, from Monday to Friday. In the afternoon instead there is the afterschoolthis is an educational service, provided from Monday to Friday, at the end of the canteen, from 2.15pm to 5.30pm (with the possibility of intermediate visits).
Also in the afternoon there are the “after school in full-time classes”. In this case, families who have chosen for their child one of the full-time schools, i.e. 40 curricular hours per week of school time (with indicative leave every day at 4.00 pm), have the possibility of requesting the registration for the after-school service from 4.00 pm to 5.30 pm. After school instead it is an additional service, active from Monday to Friday from 5.30pm to 6.30pm, reserved for children enrolled in after-school care and with parents who both work in the afternoon.
Added to these services is the novelty for the next school year of the launch, on an experimental basis, of theimplementation of before-school timetables (from 7:00 am) and after-school hours (until 6:00 pm) in the San Giovanni Bosco and Medea primary schools. The service is designed for parents who are both interested workers (such as cross-border workers, families of doctors, healthcare personnel, law enforcement personnel), and will be provided even if the minimum number of registrations is not reached. The idea then, for the next few years, is to extend this service to other schools too.
With regard to canteen instead there are three types of school meals: curricular school meals (form to be completed compulsorily for everyone): it is the possibility of eating in the canteen with the teachers in the morning only on the days in which, for the class attended, the afternoon curricular return is scheduled. The after-school lunch: it is the possibility of eating in the canteen with municipal educators for children enrolled in after-school care. In the end daily lunch, the possibility of eating in the canteen with the educators, even occasionally, without being enrolled in the after-school program. The service takes place between 1pm and 2.15pm, with the only possible exit time being 2.15pm.
