Events in Latina and its province

With Italy’s Liberation Day from the Nazi-Fascist regime falling on Thursday, many schools and work activities will make a long bridge, many will probably take the opportunity to take a short trip, others while remaining in the city will be able to find leisure, entertainment and relaxation in many different ways. As always in the Pontine province there are many events for all tastes. If you don’t already have plans, here are some suggestions.

Demonstrations

There are many events taking place this week and of very different kinds: in Latina after five years of absence, Lievito returns, the event that brings many cultural events of great interest to the city; the annual Agricultural Exhibition is held in Campoverde which attracts visitors from all over Italy, while Camere D’Aria returns to the Borgo di Fossanova: live shows, exhibitions, meetings and much more. For the occasion, the Medieval Museum will also organize various initiatives for adults and children.

Guided tours and excursions

Among the various events to better discover the area there are several initiatives: in Terracina a theatrical ghost-themed guided tour, to discover the legends that have been handed down for generations linked to the main places of the historic centre; at the Landriana Garden, in addition to the usual guided tours of the various environments full of flowers and plants, the Primavera alla Landriana market exhibition will also take place. In Norma, guided tours of the Norba Archaeological Park are scheduled on April 25th. The Garden of Ninfa is also open on holidays and weekends.

Live shows

There are many musical events this weekend: Lebron Johnson’s concert will be held at the Teatro Moderno; a concert will be held at the San Marco Cathedral to celebrate the city’s co-patron saint; again in Latina, the Incontri con la Chitarra concert will be held at the University of Arts, preview of the famous Caroso Festival; the recital Dante (in)Canti infernali which opens the Regina Theatri festival will be held in Terracina. The long bridge will be introduced already on Wednesday evening with the show featuring Veronica Pivetti “The Mental Inferiority of Women”.

Exhibitions

There are also many events for art lovers: the solo exhibition of New York artist Stephen Buscemi “Blue Star” will be inaugurated at Galleria Monti 8. The second edition of the International Photography Competition in the city of Latina is coming to an end: at the Cambellotti Museum; Luca Giannini’s solo exhibition at the COMEL Atlante Space; and in Priverno the exhibition For the History of My City, Letters from the Front. They continue: at the Nicolosi cultural space, Fiori dal Muro continues with an exhibition of works created by inmates of the Latina prison; in various archaeological museums in the province the widespread exhibition Livia and the Others Tell, at the OmniArt Open Gallery the collective Living in Colors and at the MADXI in Latina Scalo Potere del Sapere.

Cinema

For those who love watching films on the big screen, as always in the Pontine theaters there is an extensive program.
