Unfortunately, the long rescue intervention by the 118 operators did not save the life of a Polish truck driver
TERAMO – Unfortunately, the rescue intervention provided this morning, around 11am, to a truck driver of Polish nationality who suffered a serious illness while driving his heavy loader on the Teramo-Mare was useless.
Despite a long attempt at cardiopulmonary resuscitation, the man died, most likely due to a heart attack. The tragedy occurred along the roadway heading towards the sea, just before the petrol station in the Terrabianca district, about half a kilometer from the entrance from the Teramo Ovest junction. The victim realized he was feeling ill and pulled the truck over, thus avoiding more serious consequences, in the heavy traffic on the highway.
When the 118 health personnel arrived on site they attempted to save the man from death with cardiac massage but the long attempt was of no avail. The carabinieri of a mobile patrol and Anas personnel also intervened on site and diverted traffic onto the overtaking lane: a long queue formed, which was immediately resolved at the end of the intervention.
