The lawyer Tommaso Rotella is the representative of the Municipality of Modena designated for the role of vice president of Hera spa in view of the company’s meeting scheduled for Tuesday 30 April. The indication was shared by mayor Gian Carlo Muzzarelli during today’s meeting, Friday 26 April, of the representatives of the second level shareholders’ agreement which brings together Hera’s Modena public shareholders.
The mayors of Castelfranco Emilia, Formigine, Maranello, Lama Mocogno, Montefiorino and Polinago and the delegates of the mayors of Sassuolo and Serramazzoni were connected. The four applications received by the Municipality of Modena following the publication of the notice for the designation, which became necessary following the death of Gabriele Giacobazzi in March, were illustrated to them.
Rotella’s designation, unanimously shared by those present, falls to the Municipality of Modena, a shareholder of Hera spa with a 6.5 percent stake (over 97 million shares), based precisely on the agreements of the Shareholders’ Agreement which guarantees public control of the company. Rotella will remain in office until the approval of the 2025 budget.
Tommaso Rotella, 52 years old, graduated in Law from the University of Modena and as a lawyer specializes in proceedings concerning the criminal and administrative defense of companies, as well as in tax consultancy activities. He holds positions as president of the supervisory body in various companies and also carries out conference activities and is the author of essays for publications on these topics.
Since 2019 he has been part of the board of directors of Carimonte Holding spa and has been a member of the National Association of Italian Tax Lawyers since 2016. He was provincial coordinator of the Criminal Tax Law Center between 2010 and 2019 and is now regional coordinator. Between 2014 and 2017 he was councilor of the Municipality of Modena for Economic Activities, Promotion of the city and tourism, Demographic Services, Mortuary Police, Statistics, Agriculture.
Previously, between 2011 and 2013, he was part of the board of directors of Ascom Confcommercio.
