SCIENTIFIC LITERATURE GSSI L’AQUILA: MEETING WITH BRESSANINI AT THE COLACCHI BOOKSTORE ON 2 MAY | Current news
Descriptive text here

L’AQUILA – Comics and science, starting from the questions of the city’s doctoral students: Parentesi, the review of scientific literature open to the public and promoted by the GSSI in collaboration with the University of L’Aquila, returns with another exciting appointment.

The guest this time will be Dario Bressanini, chemist, essayist and popularizer capable of attracting the attention of millions of people. Widely followed on social channels – from Instagram to Youtube – this time Bressanini will not chat with researchers and professors, but instead with the students and doctoral students of the Gran Sasso Science Institute and the University of L’Aquila. And the topic winks at young people – actually at all. In fact, who hasn’t been fascinated by comics? And who hasn’t played with a superhero who perhaps acquired his superpowers inside a laboratory while working on an experiment? Bressanini, through the fictional superhero Doctor Newtron, will tell how superhero comic books have represented science from the twentieth century to today.

The appointment with the book Doctor Newtron. Science in comics, published by Feltrinelli, is on Thursday 2 May at 6.15pm in the Colacchi Bookshop, in Corso Vittorio Emanuele 5 in L’Aquila.
