TRIESTE Thieves in action in the Bizjak driving school in Trieste in via Milano and in the adjacent Bivium bar, also owned by Bizjak. The stolen goods were of little value, while the inconvenience caused to the two activities was greater.

The owner Stefano Bizjak he explains that «in the bar they took little away, considering that there is an automatic checkout. They stole the staff’s tips and a small fund for urgent daily expenses, around 300 euros. From the premises they entered the nearby driving school, where they took two mobile phones. The biggest inconvenience is precisely this – he underlines – the two iPhones that contained the customers’ contacts and messages. Furthermore, two traceable telephones. There is also the damage from the broken access door, which we will have to fix this morning. We still have to view the footage from the cameras, which are everywhere.”

It was the bartender of the place who noticed what happened this morning at 7am, upon opening, immediately alerting the police. «We are still 100% operational – specifies Bizjak – but there is bitterness. There is a feeling of malaise, of insecurity, episodes of crime still create inconveniences, even if fortunately they are not burdensome on an economic level.”
