TO Torvaianica construction work is about to start 2 new large bridges (which will be both driveways/pedestrian cycle): they will most likely be named (except for last-minute changes) ‘Sea Practice‘ And ‘Cross‘, they will both be found near via Rumenia.
We are talking about the road parallel to the Sirene seafront, which is also undergoing complete and profound redevelopment.
They will cost a total of 2.5 million euros of PNRR funds and will be completed, as the program envisages, by 2026, therefore a couple of years, perhaps spring 2027 at the latest. But let’s go in order.
In Torvaianica the 2 new bridges of ‘Pratica di Mare’ and ‘Crocetta’
The two projects were started, definitively, with two acts of the Technical Office of the Municipality of Pomezia. That is, with the two determinations n. 487 of 15 April (Pratica di Mare bridge) and n. 488 of 15 April (Crocetta bridge).
They are destined to revolutionize local roads.
The future of the maritime area of Torvaianica, the well-known seaside village of Pomezia, is therefore about to change thanks to the arrival of PNRR funds.
In fact, in addition to the two bridges Pratica di Mare and Crocetta, there are also other new developments arriving in the same reference area.
Starting from the former eco-monster in via Varna, the entertainment area that was very well known in the 70s, 80s and 90s and has now been in a state of total abandonment for decades. The building will be demolished and the entire area will soon be redeveloped (to read the news, click here). Furthermore, a complete redevelopment is also underway on the Sirene seafront which involves the creation of a cycle/pedestrian path that will allow you to cross half of Torvaianica in bike or on foot, the works have been underway for some time.

But returning to the work on the two new and large bridges, both suitable for vehicles and pedestrians, which will hopefully embellish the entire maritime area of Pomezia-Torvaianica.
The works of “Construction of a new vehicle bridge on Via Rumenia – Fosso di Pratica di Mare” – as stated in the municipal documents – were awarded to the first-place competitor in the public tender.
That is to the company D&J Costruzioni Bertelli Srl, with registered office in Terracina (LT) Via Roma”.
