Among this year’s gems, legendary brands such as Stanguellini, Apache, Cisitalia, Ferrari, Taraschi, Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Lotus. Cars capable of recalling the years of drivers of the caliber of Ascari, Farina, Fangio, Gonzales, Bira, Taruffi, Lorenzetti (these of Bari origins) and the unforgettable Nuvolari.

The re-enactment of the Bari Grand Prix will come to life Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 Aprilwith the highly anticipated presence of testimonial of this edition Riccardo Patrese. He is the last Italian driver to have fought for the Drivers’ World Championship in Formula 1, since the 1992 season, the great driver from Padua, born in 1954, will kick off the salient moments of the historical re-enactment. Patrese has an extraordinary career not only in Formula 1: he was world champion in karting, Italian and European Formula 3 champion, he raced in Formula 1 from 1977 to 1993, competing in 256 Grands Prix (a record that remained unbeaten for fifteen years) winning six. He was also a very valid driver in the “sports prototypes” world championship, at the wheel of Lancia cars, winning eight races and coming close to winning the world title in 1982. Saturday 27 April, from 9 am, the static display of all the Grand Prix cars will begin inside the paddock. For the entire afternoon, then, between music and entertainment with the official speakers of the Grand Prix, the main artery of the Bari nightlife will be the setting for the parades of all vintage engines, to which will be added those of the modern cars of the Porsche Club Puglia and the Ferrari Club Italia. To follow, at 7pmall participating cars will perform a reconnaissance tour of the circuit and, at 9pmin Piazza Prefettura, will take place the official opening of the 8th Re-enactment of the Bari Grand Prixwith the greeting of the Mayor of Bari Antonio Decarothe presentation of the cars and the start of the night parade.

The event will therefore experience its most exciting moment Sunday 28 April, starting at 9amwith the Mameli anthem, the drivers’ briefing and the transfer of the cars to the circuit. At 9.30 the historical re-enactment of the Bari Grand Prix will begin: starting from the start, located in Piazza della Libertà, the circuit will embrace the entire ancient village of Bari and will offer participants the opportunity to parade in complete safety, thanks to the “chicane” (obligatory curves): an adrenaline-filled and exciting concentration for crews and spectators, who will be able to savor the memory of the historic Bari Grand Prix track, which was raced at the maximum speeds of the Formula 1 of the time.

At 14, finally, near the authorities stand in Corso Vittorio Emanuele (next to the paddock area),the podium will be set up for the awarding of prizes to the winning pilots of the 8th Re-enactment. Afterwards, the participants will move to the Council Room of the Municipality of Bari for the delivery of the plaques and greetings to all participants by the organizers of the event and the municipal administration.

One of the great innovations of the 2024 edition of the historical re-enactment will be the location, at two strategic points of the route (one in Piazza Libertà, about 100 meters from the paddock, and the other in the space in front of the former Fish Market, in Piazza del Ferrarese) of two large LED wallscoordinated by a video director. From the afternoon of Saturday 27 April onwards (until the evening of the night parade), and throughout Sunday morningthey will offer the live video of the event, to allow anyone to enjoy the images along the route to the fullest. They will also be animated by the speakers of the event, including interviews and presentations of the drivers and their cars, as well as stories and anecdotes relating to the entire event.

Traffic restrictions until 28 April 2024

To allow the smooth running of the re-enactment of the Bari Grand Prix, scheduled until Sunday 28 April, the Municipal Police has issued the following traffic restrictions by order:
