Rocket launch for tourism on the Riviera in the first three months of the year, from January to March 2024. In Cesenatico the boom in tourists was 34,787, which means +85% compared to 2023. Cesena also did well, where 18 thousand tourists arrived from January to March (+5% on 2023). Positive data also in the spa resort Bagno di Romagna which recorded 23,045 tourists (+4.3%). In small Gatteo 3610 tourists (even +374% on 2023).

The January-March 2024 data confirm the good health of tourism in Emilia-Romagna. The presence of Italian and foreign tourists grew in the first quarter of the year, +9.9% compared to 2023 (+11.9% compared to 2019), and arrivals +9.3% compared to last year (+5, 4% on 2019).

Foreign tourists continue to increase, +15.5%, with an increase of 13.3% compared to 2023 (+15.9% compared to 2019). The positive trend between January and March in the hilly towns continues, with overnight stays rising to +11.7% compared to 2023 (+16% compared to 2019), while for arrivals the increase is +14.4% compared to 2023 ( +12.4% on 2019).

However, data relating to the Apennines are decreasing, also due to the scarcity of snowfall due to the mild winter climate, which recorded -10.3% of presences compared to 2023 (-17.6% compared to 2019) and -9, 6% of arrivals on 2023 (-18.2% on 2019).
