“Free entry into state museums, archaeological parks and places of culture, again this year, on three highly symbolic dates for our history such as 25 April, 2 June and 4 November, is not a formal choice but substantial because it intends to link our cultural heritage to important days for the nation. Today we celebrate Liberation Day from Nazi-Fascism. On the occasion of these three anniversaries, I strongly wanted the free opening of our museum sites so that visitors could enjoy our artistic beauties and also making culture the protagonist of such significant anniversaries. It wasn’t like that before”.
The Minister of Culture declares it, Gennaro Sangiulianocommenting on the first available data on museum admissions on this free opening day.
