The celebrations for April 25th also took place in Bondeno and Gavello. The mayor, Simone Saletti, and the Anpi representatives Tommaso Corradi and Bracciano Lodi spoke. The morning then continued in the name of Alda Costa, at the civic gallery that bears her name and which is located in the places where the prisons where the teacher and anti-fascist political activist was once held. For the 80th anniversary of her passing, a plaque was unveiled (photo above): “Tell – the phrase – to my companions that I remained faithful to my ideal”. The message that she wanted to leave, before dying, to the magistrate and director of Copparo prisons, Antonio Buono, who had helped her pass on to another socialist a list of names of comrades to rebuild the party’s ranks.
