Identified as a 35-year-old Sudanese citizen, regularly residing in Liguria, with numerous criminal records against property, public administration, violations of drug laws and acts contrary to public decency.
From a further and more accurate check of the banknotes in his possession, it was ascertained that they did not react to UV rays, were without a watermark and had anomalous chromatic features. Similar banknotes were found in his trouser pocket, all without security features and the same serial number. From here the seizure of the 41 counterfeit banknotes began.
The Sudanese was referred to the judicial authority for spending counterfeit money and for violating the rules on residence in the national territory and administratively sanctioned for acts against public decency given his public show in front of people.
