In terms of income, Pesaro is the driving force, but Gradara records the big leap

PESARO The capital Pesaro is at the top of the 2022 income ranking of the 50 municipalities in the province with an average of 22,798 euros per capita and 887 euros more than in 2021 (+4.1%). A thermometer of wealth on 74,720 taxpayers which places it in fourth place in the regional ranking led by Numana. But the ranking drawn up by the Mef photographs an economic situation which in 12 months reserves some surprises. Let’s take Gradara and Gabicce for example, where tourism reigns supreme (from the “most beautiful village in Italy” to the “Pearl of the Adriatic”), dividing hospitality between the coast and the hinterland in just a few kilometres.

From one year to the next

2022 should be considered the year in which the Pesaro area also fully returned to post-Covid normality, with a recovery that contributed to the relaunch of attractive locations. This was the case for Gradara (3741 taxpayers) which with an average income of 20,027 euros achieved the best leap with a nice +11.7% compared to 2021, and 2,095 euros more on average. On the other hand, those who recorded the worst trend were Gabicce (4528 taxpayers) with -15.9% compared to 2021. The people of Gabicce lost 3,442 euros each in 12 months, reaching 18,192 euros in 2022. In reality, 2021 didn’t fare any better either, in fact the debacle was even more evident with -30.1%. The bottom of the province and Marche is a gem of Montefeltro: Monte Grimano with an income of 13,970 euros (867 taxpayers). Small consolation, from one year to the next we managed to achieve a +2.8% (374 euros). And it is not worth objecting by pointing out the gap between the coast and the hinterland: among the Municipalities with an average income above 20 thousand euros, 7 in total, there is the small Lunano, in the heart of the Apennines: its 1020 taxpayers bring 20,754 euros each, recording a +6.3% equal to 1,238 euros. With Pesaro, Gradara and Lunano, Fano also exceeds 20 thousand euros with 22,288 euros (46698 taxpayers with +1036 euros equal to +4.9%), Urbino with 21,433 euros (10941 taxpayers with +807 euros equal to +3.9% ), Fermignano with 20,022 euros (6165 taxpayers, with +740 euros equal to a +3.8%) and Montelabbate with 20,185 euros (5062 taxpayers with +840 euros for a +4.3%. It must be said that almost all of the Municipalities found a positive trend. With Gabicce only Tavullia and Isola del Piano recorded a slight decline. The city of Valentino lost 182 euros each (5864 taxpayers for 19,502 euros and a decrease of -0.9%) while in Isola. per capita income decreased by 23 euros (440 taxpayers for 19,176 euros each, equal to -0.1%).
