Raise your hand if on the eve of the play-offs you would have bet a cent on the success of the Talmassons Board of Directors! Yet the “Russian roulette” of the play-offs ended up proving the predictions wrong and providing yet another surprise. The fact is that this evening the Friulians of Leonardo Barbieri’s CDA Talmassons also won game 2 in the match against Futura Giovani Busto Arsizio with a clear 3-0 (31-29; 25-20; 25-17), repeating the success obtained in Lombardy last Saturday (0-3). A double success which earned them promotion to Serie A1.
The Board of Directors has demonstrated disarming concreteness. Impenetrable defense and attacking attack, with the two former pumines as the great protagonists Alessia Populini (12) e Leah Hardeman (16). Fate has brought great joy back to “Popu”, given that two years ago, due to a bad injury, Lpm’s eclectic spiker from Brescia Bam Mondovì was forced to give up the play-off final against Macerata. A well-deserved promotion for Talmassons, who in the double match did not concede even a set to their more highly rated opponents. The Friulians, therefore, will represent Cuneo’s opponent next year.
