Faenza, ScrittuRa Festival for former Salesians, is the first time it arrives in the city

First time in Faenza for ScrittuRa Festival, the traveling event conceived and organized by Matteo Cavezzali, who for two newspapers will monopolize the spaces of Faventia Sales, with a series of very eclectic literary meetings and with great protagonists of fiction, but not only. So much so that we will start with the climate, and in particular with Vincenzo Levizzani of the Cnr of Bologna, who at 5pm on Saturday 26th will present When it rains outside. History and future of rain, a volume published by Saggiatore which, together with an in-depth popular survey on the topic of rainfall, addresses the very urgent issue of climate change (which Faenza has experienced more than other cities with the flood of last May) precisely from the perspective of the water cycle, a fundamental mechanism for life on Earth and the balance of natural forces. And about which there is still much to discover.
At 6.30pm Mauro Covacich will present his study on Kafka published by La Nave di Teseo, while at 9pm Antonio Iovane will talk about The Executioner: the story of Erich Priebke, the executioner of the Fosse Ardeatine (Mondadori), wondering above all about the very long period during which Erich Priebkeha lived undisturbed in Argentina.
On Saturday 27th at 5pm Paolo Valoppi will present My father will have eternal life but my mother doesn’t believe in it (Feltrinelli), a fun contemporary novel about Pokémon, McDonald’s burgers and Jehovah. At 6.30pm Pino Cacucci will make the audience travel with their minds towards Mexico, already masterfully told by the writer in successful novels such as Puerto Escondido and Viva la vida, and again on Dieguito and the centaur of the north, just released on Mondadori and dedicated to the exploits of revolutionary Pancho Villa. Closing the Faenza section of the festival, again at the Salesians at 9pm, will be Valentina Notarberberardino with Operation bestseller. Behind the scenes of publishing success, which will reveal why certain books work great while so many others remain at a standstill. Also answering the fateful question: can we, today, live on writing alone?
ScrittuRa Festival also continues in Conselice this week, where on Tuesday 39 April at 9pm at the Pellegrini civic center Marilù Oliva will tell the female epic by presenting The Iliad sung by the goddesses (Solferino).
