Cimini Race 2024
Sunday one of the most prestigious cycling races in Italy starts from Ronciglione. The fourth edition of the Cimini Race continues the Maremma Tosco Laziale circuit by introducing its second part. The distance will be 47 km for 1,360 meters of altitude difference. A tourist departure in the central streets of one of the most beautiful villages in Italy with the competitive start in the woods on the slopes of Monte Fogliano, the first climb of the day. But the protagonist’s narrative encounters an insurmountable obstacle along the way that holds back the dream: the blockade of all departures from Italy imposed by Benito Mussolini. Over one hundred works including paintings and sculptures for a large celebratory exhibition at the Doebbing palace in Sutri on Alessio Paternesi, one of the most celebrated artists on the Italian art scene and the pride of the Tuscia area of Viterbo. The exhibition was born from the desire to bring into dialogue the profound ties that unite the work of Alessio Paternesi to the land of Tuscia. Paternesi used all artistic techniques with great skill declining his models in the apparently simple forms, but infinitely full of expressiveness, of herms or bronzes.
