An entire year without football matches in Viterbo, thanks to the situation linked to the Rocchi stadium and a tender for the assignment written by the Municipality but then blocked as the facility is owned by the Region. A story – which is being unblocked with the resolution to acquire the stadium approved by the municipality of Tuscia last February – which has slowed down the return to the gialloblù of Piero Camilli, former president of Viterbese and today main sponsor of FC Viterbo in Eccellenza. Speaking to Tusciaweb.eu, Camilli explained his plans: “Did councilor Aronne talk about entrusting the stadium temporarily, Sunday after Sunday? An out-of-place proposal. If I take the helm of FC Viterbo, I’ll do it to return to C and then in B, not to play in the Third Category. A stadium open only on Sundays is for matches between bachelors and married people. They are looking for teams in categories higher than Excellence, it means that I have done something good in recent years. I remember when I came to Viterbo and Viterbese wasn’t even registered in the championship. I took them to the victory in the Serie C Italian Cup, I had structures, offices, personnel and technical staff.”
