They averted a serious danger to road traffic by saving two stray dogs on state road 16 bis.

It happened in the late afternoon of April 25th, near the Bisceglie Nord entrance, towards Bari, of the important connecting road. Some phone calls received at the switchboard of the Local Police Headquarters in Bisceglie warned of the danger caused by two dogs that were on the road. A Local Police patrol then went to the scene, whose non-commissioned officers on duty, without much difficulty, after having taken steps to block the particularly intense traffic at that hour, managed to approach and take the two dogs, also thanks to the help of two willing motorists.

Introduced into the service car they were then taken and admitted to an authorized kennel. Checks are underway by Bisceglie Local Police personnel to ascertain whether the four-legged friends have a microchip and therefore be able to trace the identity of their owners.
