But when the tariffs had to be voted on he wasn’t so aggressive and he abstained.” Mayor Emanuele Antonelli against the municipal councilor of the mixed group Emanuele Fiorewhich he raised during free interventions in the hexagonal room the case of increases in school canteensafter the majority rejected his request for urgent discussion of his motion on the topic.
The case
Fiore, as a grandfather and municipal councilor, spoke of «just and dutiful protest by the families», to which he expressed closeness, and quoted the words of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, when he declared that «we need to build a birth-friendly society. Absolute priority of our government.” AND he reproached the majority of not having allowed cross-examination on the issue in order to seek a solution after the case came out into the open.
The mayor’s response
Antonelli responded with a hard face: «It is scandalous that you want to exploit it polemically a matter that is very serious. We had a meeting with 200 families, we listened to them, we explained what the remedies could be, if we can do them, and we meet again in July to try to solve the problems, but I’m sure we’ll solve them this time too». To Fiore in particular he counter-reproached the vote on the budget: «I remind you that you abstained when there was a tariff increaseand in the discussion, perhaps he didn’t quite understand what he was doinghe wasn’t as against it as now, when I see him as fierce.”
