Mayoral candidate Alessandro Mager and Flavio Di Malta (Sanremo al Centro) have carried out a series of inspections in San Martino in recent days, to take note of the problems and interventions that the neighborhood may need.

After a coffee from the Lamarmora bar, Mager and Di Malta went to the new supermarket where they verified the need to create new pedestrian crossings and passageways. Furthermore, as Di Malta declared, “We spoke with several traders and noted the state of the steps, the sidewalks and the situation of the architectural barriers to going down towards the center of San Martino. In addition to this, the famous yellow railing, unsafe, which should be sorted out.”

Among the areas visited also that of the schools: We spoke with the class representatives and saw the new building of Villa Amelia, a work created by the Biancheri administration which was done well, but needs maintenance”.

Greater care should also be given to green areas. From Malta: “There is an area with grass one and a half meters high, it is a public park that needs to be renovated, valorised and re-evaluated as soon as possible.”

Among the most important critical issues is the reduced workforce among the road sector workers whom Mager and Di Malta visited: “We were in their warehouse and saw how they work; two take care of the roads, two of the signs and two of the buildings. We listened to their requests, they told us that there are few of them to keep up with all the reports that come from various quarters.”
