Among the islands, Santa Marina di Salina is first with 19,699 euros, in Favignana (Trapani) the average declared income is 18,355 euros, in Malfa on the island of Salina (Messina) 18,593, in Ustica (Palermo) 17,869 euros, in Leni on the island of Salina (Messina) 17,364 euros, in Lipari (Messina) 17,255 euros, in Pantelleria (Trapani) 16,167, in Lampedusa (Agrigento) 15,488. The special ranking for Sicilian cities closes with Mazzarrone (Catania) with an average income of 11,107 euros.

Incomes in Palermo

In Palermo and its province there is a crisis but not too much, with incomes growing and consumption managing to hold up. If on average throughout Italy there is a decline in the purchase of durable goods (cars, TVs, household appliances, etc…) of 3.7%, in Palermo and its province the contraction stops at just 1.1%. This, according to experts, is because in 2022 per capita incomes grew by 7.8% and consequently consumption is proportionate. This is the best Sicilian result in these terms and consequently, having more money available, we continued to spend. The data released by the Findomestic observatory. Palermo is the only Sicilian province where spending on durable goods exceeded one billion euros in 2022.
