SACILE – Not even time to digest the new, announced increase in Tari tariffsthat’s it, in a building on viale Lacchinraise the anger to a thousand because of the waste service bill. Several families, residing in the condominium at number 29 of the central avenue, have in fact received the notice from the Municipality, or rather: the “reminder”as stated in the subject of the letter, which verbatim says: “From the checks carried out in our computer archives it was found a shortfall in the waste tax due for the year 2023“. With such an incipit, it is of little value if immediately afterwards it is explained that, “If you have already made the payment, we invite you to send us a copy of the same…”, because at that point, according to Cristina and Francesca, the omelette is “In practice they accuse us of non-payment, but that bulletin, that F24 has never arrived before – explains Cristina – and in the building we are in the same situation, in several families, at least 6 or 7, but perhaps the whole Scala B” and we are talking about 18 families. «We are “given” 30 days – observes Francesca – to regularize ourselves, starting from the date of receipt of the letter – which, incidentally, was sent on April 10th and arrived at its destination on the 23rd, without ever having left the city – but it is not a registered letter , there is nothing to indicate if and when I received it, so – the lady asks again – when do these 30 days start?
CHALLENGING FIGURES
What might seem like a trivial matter actually has its weight, because depending on the date taken into consideration, the family may or may not count on income, for example an extra salary: «I have to pay 258 euros and now I also have the girl’s communion» specifies Francesca, who clearly remembers not having signed any receipt for that letter. The phenomenon seems to be quite widespread: the story of the two people from Sacile also reaches the ears of the barmaid who has just brought them the coffee and who confirms that she too has received the same letter, with the aggravating circumstance, however, that Tari appears to her even having already paid for it. However, her case is different, given that she is only challenged for one instalment, that of last October. «For which I sent the photo of the payment», she clarifies. «Another lady from our building instead went to the municipal offices because she was unable to pay the entire sum in one go and luckily they divided the payment into three installments: April, May and June”, as required by the municipal regulation, even though no later than a couple of days ago the proposal was made in the Commission to expand the possible installments to 4 , so as to help those families who find themselves in difficulty. A solution that will perhaps return to discussion in the next city council meeting, scheduled for Monday 29 April, but which in any case will not be a viable solution before next year (provided it is approved).
NON-EXISTENT ARREARANCE
Returning to the residents of the condominium in Viale Lacchin, Cristina does not hide the annoyance caused by being referred to as “default”, while she has always paid her dues on time: «How do you send a reminder if you haven’t sent any payment notice before?!» she says indignantly. There is no doubt that there are difficult relationships between some residents of the building and the waste removal service, also the result of some users who, it seems, give what they want whenever they want, without following the timetable or the established rules too much. “The workers claim to have notified those responsible several times, but the situation has not changed at all and it seems to me that they too have given up” and, in the meantime, the condominium owners find themselves with cardboard boxes and bags that remain to make an ugly display of itself, because they were taken out on the streets on the wrong days.
