A total of 26 blood donations were collected Aoup transfusion centre on the occasion of the extraordinary opening last Sunday, promoted by the Pisa Motorcyclists Group, the Motokacioclub. Of the 26 donations collected, 12 were whole blood, 5 blood components and 9 deferred.
A heartfelt thank you from Aoup to all the testimonials and donors for this important gesture of solidarity and for all the initiatives implemented by the staff of the Transfusion Medicine and Transplant Biology Operational Unit who, together with the donor associations, work hard all year round to procure as much blood as possible which, in such a large hospital , is vitally important.
Please note the opening hours of the Transfusion Center (Cisanello hospital – Building 2, Entrance C): from Monday to Saturday from 8am to 1pm for donation and from 11am to 1pm for pre-donation tests and also on Tuesday afternoons and Thursday, from 2pm to 5pm.
