Arezzo – The Park of Villa Severi will become the scene of the “Liberation Festival”. Below is the program: With Palestine in my heart The day will begin at 10 am with a symbolic walk and readings on the sites of the San Polo massacre, offering participants the opportunity to reflect on the atrocities of war and the importance of peace and freedom. The rally will be in front of the CAS of Villa Severi. Social Lunch and Photographic Exhibition Following this, at 1.00 pm, there will be a social lunch, a moment of sharing and community, for which participants are invited to book as soon as possible as places are running out. It will be possible to visit the photographic exhibition “Nazi-fascist massacres in Arezzo. The places of memory”, which will open a glimpse into painful but fundamental pages of our history. Music and Memory In the afternoon, from 2.30 pm, the program will continue with the music of DJs Mr. Ceks, Mitla, Levo, Rat Race Crew and Hang DJ, who will curate a set capable of combining art, memory and hope, in a celebration that it extends from the memory of the past to the promises of the future. The organizing committee, promoted by Arci, Anpi, Oxfam Italia and Aurora, invites the citizens of Arezzo to participate.

Arezzo – Opening with free entry to the Ivan Bruschi Antiques House Museum in Arezzo.
Arezzo – From 10.30am the initiative “Waiting for the Saracino Memorial Carlo Fardelli Trophy” will be held at the Scuderia Pan in Mulinelli. A sort of dress rehearsal for the budding jousters of the event which will be held as usual between mid-September and early October. In the morning there will be a gymkhana with barriers on the ground. In the afternoon, from 3pm, the Mini Giostra with pitch shots against the Buratto. The objective of this sort of dress rehearsal is to “recruit” a good number of children for the Saracino Memorial Carlo Fardelli Trophy to defend the colors of each neighborhood and win the trophy that Francesco Conti creates every year. Castiglion Fiorentino – The column of freedom. Historic military vehicles dating back to the Second World War parade along the same roads that saw them as protagonists during the Italian Campaign. Piazzale Garibaldi 10am.
Castiglion Fiorentino – Ccelebrations for Liberation Day from 8am with the laying of bouquets of flowers. At 10am celebration in the church of San Francesco and at 11am laying of a laurel wreath at the war memorial in the public gardens. Visit to the exhibition of documents from the Library Archives set up in the atrium of the Town Hall.
Civitella – At 6 pm, in the council room of the Municipality of Civitella in Val di Chiana in Badia al Pino, on the day that will see the official visit of the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella in the morning to the sites of the Nazi-fascist massacre of 29 June 1944 on the occasion of the Liberation Day , the presentation of the new book by the military Attorney General Marco De Paolis “Hunting the Nazis”, published by Rizzoli with a preface by Liliana Segre, will be held. Dialogue with the author is former parliamentarian Giuseppe Fanfani, former lay member of the Superior Council of the Judiciary and current Guarantor of the Rights of Prisoners of the Tuscany Region. Mayor Andrea Tavarnesi brought institutional greetings.
