A turnover of 8 million euros, with the processing of 80 thousand quintals of olives. These are the most significant data that emerged on Monday 22 April during the meeting held at the headquarters of Finoliva Global Service of Bitonto, in via Torre D’Agera, the 160 members of the cooperative Bitonto Olive Producers.
“During the meeting”explains the president Giuseppe Siragusa, “the financial statements drawn up as of 31 December 2023 were approved, complete with balance sheet, income statement and explanatory notes. The president of the Board of Statutory Auditors, Nicola Marrone, was also present with all its members. The budget was approved unanimously by the 160 members. The settlement of the 2022/2023 olive oil campaign was carried out in September 2023, within the statutory deadlines”.
“The partners – adds Siragusa – they expressed great satisfaction with the results achieved in an olive oil year that we managed to manage in the best possible way, enhancing the work of the olive growers and ensuring the right value for a territorial product of absolute excellence. By aggregating the product, uniting the olive growers and managing the relationship with all the components of the supply chain in the best possible way, also and above all from the point of view of agreements and contracts, we have succeeded once again, and with extremely positive results as regards the last year, to achieve the objective of guaranteeing profitability and fair recognition for the quality produced by the entire olive sector”.
“The hope of the entire shareholders’ meeting”, concludes vice president Michele Antonino, “is to continue on the path traced and now consolidated of an increasingly effective and innovative commitment implemented by the Bitonto Olivicoli Producers cooperative, also thanks to the system action carried out in full synergy and harmony with the OP Oliveti Terra di Bari”.
