One of the two foreigners who allegedly drugged and raped a 20-year-old in an apartment in Tor Bella Monaca (Rome) last April 17, after an appointment agreed on Instagram, was stopped by the police. As far as we know, it is a Tunisian citizen, Abdelkader Louati, 30 years old, who is now confined in Regina Coeli prison on suspicion of sexual assault. In the next few days he will appear before the investigating judge for the interrogation to validate the arrest. The accomplice, however, has not yet been traced.
The arrest of the Tunisian
The 30-year-old was framed by the images extrapolated from cameras surveillance pointed outside the place where the three had met for an aperitif. An important contribution would also have come from the chats that the girl had with the alleged attackers, both foreigners, twenty-four hours before the rape took place. Now the investigators are trying to trace the identity of the alleged accomplice who, thanks to the rapid police investigations, could have his days numbered.
The shocking rape
According to what the girl told the agents of the Casilino District, where the complaint was formalized, the two foreigners would have drugged and then, with an excuse, taken to an apartment in Tor Bella Monaca. Here, inside a dark room with no escape route, she was raped in turn by the attackers: one of her held her down while the other abused her. The abuse allegedly lasted hours.
The intervention of the boyfriend
The 20-year-old was rescued by her boyfriend who, having not heard from her for twenty-four hours, located her with hisapp of the cell phone outside a bar in via Torrenova, in the Torre Angela area, at Casalino. Once there, the young man found the girl in a semi-unconscious state. She found the strength to tell what happened and then she fainted.
At that point she was rescued by an ambulance and transported to the emergency room of the Tor Vergata polyclinic, where she was examined and then discharged with a forty-day prognosis.
