There is no respite for the city’s parks and green areas. Due to extraordinary maintenance works, this time, the park will remain closed Villa Carrara until May 5th and the park of via Good morning until next April 30th. In the case of the Villa Carrara park, a Pastenait was the sector staff who raised the alarm Social Policies which, following a series of inspections, revealed the critical conditions of the space outside the building, urging the sector Greenery, Parks and Water Network «to an extraordinary maintenance intervention of the greenery and to the planning of related periodic maintenance interventions».

The intervention

Conditions such as to require «the closure of the park of Villa Carrara to proceed with redevelopment works of the areas outside the Villa, through sanitization and extraordinary cleaning interventions, in order to give citizens back a green space that they can frequent and live in complete safety», is specified in the ordinance. Among other things, the historic building in Pastena was entrusted to the sector Social policies which will have to create a socio-cultural hub here. For different reasons, the park in via Buongiorno will also be closed, where the ban on the green area was determined by the need to rearrange all the areas intended for children’s games.
