What role can each of us play in tackling the climate crisis? This is the starting point of the event entitled “Every action makes a difference, let’s unite for the climate” organized by the “Change me, change the world” campaign of the Italian Buddhist Institute Soka Gakkai and UNDP (United Nations Development Programme) Center of Rome scheduled in Turin Saturday 27 April at 10:00 am at the Sporting ASD Press Club in Corso Agnelli 45.

The event is part of the calendar of initiatives of the “Planet Week“, promoted by the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security in the week preceding the G7 Climate, Energy and Environment which will take place from 28 to 30 April at the Royal Palace of Venaria.

The objective of the round table is to put at the center of the discussion the actions that everyone can carry out in their daily lives, acting personally with a focus on youth involvement and the need for systemic change. Will participate: Chiara Foglietta, Councilor for Ecological and Digital Transformation of the Municipality of Turinthe teacher Patrizia Lombardi Vice-Rector of the Polytechnic of Turin and President of the RUS (Network of Universities for Sustainable Development), Clara Pogliani, spokesperson for the collective “There will be a nice climate”, Agostino Inguscio coordinator UNDP Center of Rome and a representation of “Fridays for future“.

During the morning you can visit the exhibition “The legacy of life – the climate is a choice, let’s save the future“, carried out as part of the campaign “I change, change the world: think globally, change internally, act locally”, supported by the funds of the 8×1000 of the Italian Buddhist Institute Soka Gakkai. From the five key sectors on which to intervene – energy, cities, production and consumption systems, trees, food security – we come to reflect on the just ecological transition, on a new model of development, on human rights and on peace. Everyone can do their part with daily and immediate actions also to ask for and support the necessary system actions at a national and global level.
