Festivalle, the international music and digital arts festival of the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento will host over 20 internationally renowned artists.
From 8 to 11 August 2024, at the Valley of the Templesthe eighth arrives FestiValle editioninternational music and digital arts festival, the first names among living legends and new names on the international scene have been announced.
FestiValle it is a boutique festival that places the meeting between jazz sounds and contemporary influences at the center of its research. Four days of concerts and shows immersed in the age-old magic of timeless places where you can experience the energy of live music among the beauty of Sicilian nature and the age-old history of Agrigento.
FestiValle has among its objectives that of promoting the artistic and natural beauties of the Agrigento area through music and culture, with the desire to offer a real experiential format which over the years has been enriched with tourist itineraries and ideas that offer the opportunity to experience the artistic, historical and natural heritage of Valley of the Temples in an unprecedented way and to discover some lesser-known glimpses of one of the most fascinating UNESCO sites in the world.
The first names of FestiValle 2024: between living legends and new names on the international scene
The first wave of artists who will animate the eagerly awaited summer event in Agrigento has just been announced, many other names will arrive in the coming weeks.
The only date in Sicily of the Altın Gün, the Dutch band of Turkish origins, leaders of the vibrant Anatolian funk scene, will be Friday 9 August. The next day an authentic myth of contemporary music will take to the Festivalle stage: the American producer Moodymannunder his hands house, soul, gospel, analogue and digital, samples and beats blend into the black soul of his Detroit.
The first phase of Festivalle announcements continues with two Italian exclusives: Ebo Taylor & The Family Band, Ghanaian legend of Afrobeat and highlife. Richard Bonaa formidable bassist and multi-instrumentalist already alongside Pat Metheny, George Benson, and many others, will perform instead Sunday 12 August with the special project together with the Cuban rhythms of Alfredo Rodriguez in Trio.
Don’t miss the live show James HoldenBritish DJ and producer with a magical touch capable of ranging from Madonna and Depeche Mode remixes to collaborations with Thom Yorke.
Closing this substantial first phase of announcements is the living Brazilian legend João Bosco and his blend of afrosamba, jazz and bossa nova; the eclectic American drummer and rapper Kassa Overall, launched by Gilles Peterson and his Brownswood label. Both acts will be on the opening night of Thursday 8 August. Finally, the next day, the Belgian band Echt!, among the most interesting names of contemporary nu-jazz of Northern European origin.
In the coming weeks, announcements will follow of many other musicians, DJs and artists who will perform among the classical beauties of the Valley of the Temples, the Kolimbethra garden and other surprising places.
