CIVITAVECCHIA – «The Meloni Government confirms itself as always attentive not only to the safety, but also to the construction of Italian prisons, a topic of fundamental importance which in the past has often been left in the background».
This is what Massimiliano Grasso, candidate for mayor of Civitavecchia for the centre-right, declared in a note.
«The significant intervention – he continues – approved by the Joint Committee of the Ministry of Justice and that of Infrastructure, thanks to which over 36 million euros have been allocated for national penitentiary construction, provides for 500 thousand euros for the restoration work on the facade of the Civitavecchia prison complex. As rightly highlighted by the Undersecretary of State for Justice, Hon. Delmastro delle Vedove, it is this government’s priority to make prison institutions efficient and safe but also to guarantee dignified workplaces for our law enforcement officers. I also agree with the statements of Senator Marco Silvestroni who on this topic underlined the continued closeness of the government led by Giorgia Meloni to the security needs of the individual territories”.
