L’AQUILA – Thirty-four events for 25 days of shows, from 8 July to 6 August, scheduled in the traditional locations of the San Bernardino steps and the Park Auditorium, plus two events scheduled in the municipalities of Campotosto and Villa Sant’ Angelo: two centers in the L’Aquila area which were most affected following the 2009 earthquake, in addition to the capital of Abruzzo, and the one which affected Central Italy.
Presented by the mayor of L’Aquila Pierluigi Biondi and the artistic director Leonardo De Amicis the program of “I Cantieri dell’Immaginario”, the summer festival of the Municipality of L’Aquila organized in collaboration with the cultural bodies of the territory financed by the National Fund for live entertainment (FNSV) – namely Teatro Stabile d’Abruzzo, Società Aquilana of the “Bonaventura Barattelli” Concerts, Gruppo Emotion, Teatro dei 99, I Solisti Aquilani, Abruzzo Symphonic Institution, Teatro Zeta, – Academy of Fine Arts of L’Aquila and Conservatory of Music “Alfredo Casella”, with the coordination of the Tsa.
Illustrating the poster were the mayor of L’Aquila Biondi, the president and the director of the TSA, respectively Pietrangelo Buttafuoco And Giorgio Pasotti, and the artistic director of the event, Leonardo De Amicis during a meeting which was attended not only by representatives of the bodies, institutions and cultural associations of L’Aquila, but also by the actor Flavio Insinna and the vice president of the National Deaf Organization of L’Aquila, Bruno Angelone.
“For the third consecutive year, the Cantieri are hosting a show in sign language, created in collaboration with the National Deaf Association, but also ‘From the bars to the stars’ taken from the book of the same name on the topic of assets confiscated from the Camorra, with the participation by Flavio Insinna, already performed in the Rebibbia prison. A review, therefore, in the name of inclusiveness and social theater in the perspective of the year dedicated to the Capital of Culture. The overall proposal includes prestigious names and productions, such as the concert dedicated to De Andrè, enhanced by the unique setting of the Basilica of San Bernardino, unanimously appreciated. Not only that, for the first time the construction sites have also been relocated, with two events in the municipalities of the crater. An important effort for which I thank the TSA, the artistic director Leonardo De Amicis and all the institutions and cultural associations in the area who contributed significantly”, commented Mayor Biondi.
“An event – underlined the director of Tsa Pasotti – which has now become the heart of the L’Aquila summer, created to reclaim public spaces and has become one of the largest events in Italy. Thirty days of entertainment, theatre, music and dance, in which city organizations and associations offer truly interesting and unique events for an audience that can find events suitable for every age group and every interest. As Director of the Teatro Stabile d’Abruzzo I am pleased to provide our collaboration again this year to coordinate the program, the TSA puts itself at the service of the territory with professionalism and conviction. We are increasingly certain that Culture is an irreplaceable tool, at the basis of the process of rebuilding communities, the language of live entertainment speaks to everyone, involving everyone in a different way, generating emotions and rediscovering knowledge.

A unique program of events which includes genres and artistic expressions that are only apparently different from each other. Classical theatre, reading, dance, music in multiple forms – classical, opera, jazz, pop – entertainment and ballet are enclosed in a large and multifaceted bubble that touches our souls, contributing to the common sharing of beauty and talents brought to the stage thanks to the important collaboration, now consolidated, with the territory and its cultural realities which have made professionalism and skills available. Culture, art, entertainment are a common good and in my work one of the fundamental objectives is to try to bring as many people as possible closer to elements that represent the cultural identity of our city and our country” declared the Maestro Leonardo De Amicis.
