The first two arrive in Messina smart shelters of Atm Spa. It is a modern, innovative and multifunctional solution that unites environmental sustainability, thanks to the presence of photovoltaic panels, with efficiency and energy saving. The new structures become bright in the evening and night hours.
The smart solar shelters by Atm Spa, whose design bears the signature of Pininfarina, promote the energy transition, having a model of sustainability of renewable energy.

The smart bus shelters of Messina
The new smart shelters from Atm Spa are completely powered by photovoltaic modules and are also equipped with:
- wireless chargers for smartphones, iPads and electronic devices;
- free wifi hotspot for internet connection;
- a new innovative and eco-sustainable infomobility system;
- of semi-automatic external defibrillator (AED).
There are a total of 45 smart shelters in Messina and over the next few weeks they will be allocated in strategic points of the city such as Piazza Cairoli, Teatro Vittorio Emanuele, Regional Museum, Villa Dante, Villa Mazzini and the University Citadel.
In addition to these, the President of Atm Spa Giuseppe Campagna underlined that there will be other shelters that will be redeveloped.
