Giorgia Meloni, insults on the prime minister’s election posters in Caserta: solidarity and investigations
Descriptive text here

Election posters with insults to Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani appeared this morning in Caserta. The writing “Nazi liar», on those of Tajani «Nazi collaborator».

An act that was certainly isolated but which sparked indignation among politicians. The local police command, directed by Commander Piricelli, has started an investigation to identify the authors of the posting of defamatory posters in via Gallicola.

«I strongly condemn the serious offenses aimed at Tajani and Meloni through some writings that appeared on the electoral posters just posted in Caserta, the capital of the province that I have the honor of leading – commented the president of the Province, Giorgio Magliocca – This is not politics, this is not an election campaign. The different opinions are not expressed in this way, but in public discussion and, above all, openly. All this only leads to a barbarization of democracy which, paradoxically, sensational gestures like these would aim, in the thoughts of those who carry them out, to defend”.

The Caserta member of the Brothers of Italy is on the same wavelength Marco Cerreto: «This is a shameful campaign of hate staged artfully and by clockwork by those who, like the left, have no other argument than that of erecting the “objective enemy”, the only theme that manages to unite them.

I hope that, in reference to what is happening, firm condemnations are clearly taken by those who represent the left in the institutions today, starting with the mayor of Caserta Carlo Marino.”
