Alessio Brogi commander of the Carabinieri Biodiversity Department of Siena

Lieutenant Colonel Alessio Brogi has assumed command of the Carabinieri Biodiversity Department of Siena, alternating with Captain Marta Simonetti, who has until now held the office in a vacant position and who will continue to provide her precious collaboration as an officer in charge.

Lieutenant Colonel Alessio Brogi leaves the position of commander of the investigative unit of the environmental, agri-food and forestry police of Siena, after having conducted numerous investigative activities over the years to combat environmental crimes in the province; furthermore, jointly with the aforementioned role, he commanded the Siena Forestry Carabinieri Group for almost three years, until August 2023.

Having joined the State Forestry Corps in 1994, Lieutenant Colonel Alessio Brogi boasts vast experience in the environmental, agri-food and nature conservation sectors. Graduated in Forestry Sciences from the University of Florence and authorized to practice as a freelance agronomist and forestry doctor, Lieutenant Colonel Alessio Brogi obtained a II level master’s degree in Environmental Safety Sciences from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” as part of the attendance of the 1st biennial course for officials of the State Forestry Corps.
