After the days dedicated to ITS (in January), traditional Universities (in February) and online universities (in March), in April the “Giuseppe Di Vittorio” Higher Institute, as part of its post-diploma orientation activities, decided to focus on work, promoting a fourth “Meeting Day” in live streaming, which called on the territorial Employment Centres, Employment Agencies and the National Association of Young Labor Consultants to present themselves. An unmissable opportunity to get to know more closely the public and private entities that aim to facilitate the meeting between supply and demand of the employment market, enhancing individual skills and vocations, but also carefully evaluating trends and evolution of the world of work.

During the event, which saw ten “Giuseppe Di Vittorio” classes connected, the roles and functions of the Employment Centers were described, established as a regional service with Legislative Decree 23 December 1997, n. 469 and heirs of the old “Employment Offices”. But the Employment Agencies also showed up, in particular the “Human” Society, and the professional categories, the National Association of Young Labor Consultants and the Territorial Association of Rome.
“I would like to extend my thanks to all the participants. – began the Headmaster of the “Giuseppe Di Vittorio” Higher Institute, Prof. Vincenza La Rosa – Your presence makes the difference in promoting the creation of an ideal climate that helps and supports students in their professional vocations. The integration of a person into the labor market is an increasingly complex process – added the Principal – but initiatives like this help to orient themselves and choose with awareness”.
Andrea Barbuscia and Federica Santoro, of the National Association of Young Labor Consultants, then described to the students, connected in live streaming to facilitate the participation of families, the activities and functions of Labor Consultants, also presenting GenL, the seven-player game sessions designed to bring students closer to the topic of legality and the relationship between work and ethics. Subsequently, Gianluca Ravoni and Teresa Campanella, from the Cerveteri Employment Centre, presented the various sections of the Lazio Region website, with particular reference to the “Job Offers” pages, describing in detail the different functions of the territorial CPI, from pre-selection internships, the multiple “training projects”, without forgetting the SILD, Disabled Work Information Service. It was then the turn of the Bracciano Employment Center: Giuseppina Di Salvatore, Monica Rando and Maria Gloria Osbat explained the differences between basic and specialist orientation, thus simulating – from start to finish – the path of an “aspiring worker ” who goes to a CPI: from the DID (Declaration of immediate availability) to the tutoring and accompaniment service, up to the consultation of the most important portals dedicated to active research, without forgetting the very important EURES service dedicated to international mobility. It was therefore Sara Chizzoniti’s turn to describe the Civitavecchia Employment Centre, temporarily transferred to Tarquinia and, in particular, the GOL Project (Workers’ Employability Guarantee), financed by the PNRR and aimed at combating unemployment thanks to the adoption of various measures capable of strengthening the dual employment-work system. Michela Miani concluded the day by describing to the students the history and activities of the “Umana” Employment Agency, which the students had already met in Civitavecchia during the “Grimaldi educa” orientation event. Michela Miani recalled the widespread ramification of “Umana” through the Employment Offices, but also the different functions of an APL with ministerial authorization, underlining the importance of educating, during the training period, not only technical skills, but also the indispensable soft skills increasingly requested by the job market.
A very important day that took place at the “Giuseppe Di Vittorio” which allowed students to acquire essential information to orient themselves after obtaining their diploma, because – as Gianluca Ravoni recalled quoting Seneca at the end of the event – “no wind is favorable for the sailor who does not know where to go.”
