Velletri – “Disastrous road situation in Colle Rosso”: the PSI’s complaint

The PSI of Velletri has issued a note on the state of degradation in which some streets on the outskirts of Veliterna find themselves, hoping for decisive interventions for the safety of citizens.

“The PSI and the citizens who experience hardship every day want answers – they write in the note -. Just take a tour of the Velletri area, you will notice that many streets are maintained and allow the circulation of cars and those who live outside the urban center in good conditions. Going south-west, passing through Colle Rosso, after a paved stretch the road becomes dirt and full of potholes, which continue, both turning into via Fontana Favignano, where there is the landfill, and turning right into via Torre di Lazzaria, where there are also leaning trees that are scary, as if they were about to fall.

It is unthinkable that in 2024, public roads can still be maintained in these conditions. Speaking with resident citizens we wanted to give voice to their protests which had remained unheard for years. An administration that wants to solve citizens’ problems always finds the solution, and this is a problem that today needs to be remedied and make the lives of those who live outside the urban center less dangerous.

In these streets, they pass, among other things, by means of public transport, from school transport to waste collection. With great inconvenience and risks for vehicles and people.

It’s about three km. of road to be made passable and issued safely, so that the municipal budget would certainly not be affected and a solution would be provided to a problem that resident citizens have been waiting for for years. All it takes is the will and it’s time for it to come out!

Mayor, traffic councilor, it’s your turn, the citizens are waiting.”
