Boxing, Palombini protagonist in Tuscany at the Rotelli memorial

David Palombini of the Canappa Boxing Club of Porto Recanati did well as he won a medal at the “Youth Sparring Io – Memorial Mario Rotelli Tournament”, organized in Tuscany. The Porto Recanati native and Nasro Allah Benhassan of the SBT Boxing Club were the two students selected by the Marche committee, chaired by Luciano Romanella. And so 22 light boxing matches of the highest technical level followed, starting from the lightest 10-year-old kangaroos up to the heaviest 12-year-old students. Both were accompanied by the coach Walter Palombini and Francesca Pignati, head of the youth sector. In the end, the featherweight Palombini, weighing less than 40 kg, earned the medal with his rotating dodges and very fast throw-in hooks, despite an official warning for a missed shot. Instead, the heavyweight Nasro Allah Benhassan (almost 70 kg) was unable to express his style as a short-distance puncher. But he stood out for his “made boxer” technique and for the sportsmanship with which he rewarded his opponent, despite the obvious disappointment of the defeat.
