In today’s session, the Interministerial Committee for Economic Planning and Sustainable Development (CIPESS), chaired by the President of the Council of Ministers Giorgia Meloni and with the presence of the Secretary of CIPESS, Undersecretary of State at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers Alessandro Morelli, has adopted a series of proposals regarding cohesion and infrastructure policies. On the proposal of the Minister for European Affairs, the South, Cohesion Policies and the PNRR, the CIPESS has approved 17 resolutions for the allocation of FSC resources 2021-2027 for a total of 9,739,303,252.42 euros. Of these, 1,519,592,401.28 euros are intended for the co-financing of European regional programs 2021-2027, to finance the interventions envisaged in the cohesion agreements of the regions of Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Emilia Romagna, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Lazio, Liguria, Lombardy, Marche, Molise, Piedmont, Tuscany, Umbria, Valle d’ Aosta and Veneto, as well as the autonomous provinces of Bolzano and Trento. The allocation of resources entitles them to be included in the budgets of the Regions and autonomous Provinces.

Satisfaction was expressed by the Governor of Molise Francesco Roberti: “The recent CIPESS resolution represents an important step forward for Molise, as it confirms the arrival of over 407 million euros, in addition to the 37 million already allocated previously, destined for the Development and Cohesion Agreement” declares Roberti, recalling the agreement signed by the Government and the Molise Region last March 25, during the visit of the President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni.

CIPESS approval was much awaited in Molise, as it represents the necessary green light “to give substance to the programming of the interventions of the Development and Cohesion Fund 2021-2027. These interventions constitute a fundamental pillar for the future of the region, together with other projects and financing already underway” adds President Roberti.

“The launch of strategic projects and initiatives is crucial to guarantee a positive impact on the territory and benefits for communities, businesses and the economic, social, tourism and sporting policies of the region. The programming includes a wide range of interventions in key sectors such as economic growth, digitalisation, competitiveness, environment, culture, transport, research, innovation, health and administrative capacity. These interventions are designed to promote sustainable development and improve the quality of life of Molise citizens.”

So after the last piece we can start: “The CIPESS resolution confers the necessary title for the inclusion of resources in the budget of the Molise Region, allowing the regional structures to start the executive phase of programming. This will lead to the realization of the ambitious objectives and results that the region has set for itself, thus contributing to a more prosperous and promising future for Molise and its population”.
