The commitment of the La Provvidenza Institute for the community in which the retirement home is located added a new element today when the mayor of Busto Arsizio, Emanuele Antonelli, inaugurated the new Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) located in Viale Duca d ‘Aosta, next to the entrance to the institute’s Integrated Day Centre. Prominent figures such as MEP Isabella Tovaglieri and Regional Councilor Emanuele Monti were present at the inauguration ceremony, underlining the importance of the event.

This new AED device is one of two installed at the institute; the first is located inside, in the atrium of the Pope John XXIII Pavilion, while the second has been strategically positioned outside to ensure wider coverage, benefiting not only the users of the Institute but also the citizens of Busto Arsizio. Both devices are an integral part of the first aid circuit, managed by qualified Red Cross personnel.

The general director of La Provvidenza, Luca Edoardo Trama, highlighted the historical and current importance of the Institute in the social fabric of Busto Arsizio, “The installation of these devices is part of our continuous commitment to providing very high quality services, contributing actively creating a safer and healthier community, both internally and externally.”

The President of the Institute, Cav. Romeo Mazzucchelli expressed great satisfaction with this new step forward: “Today is a beautiful day for Provvidenza and for all the citizens of Busto. Offering an additional service, which can really save lives, makes us enormously happy and proud.”

The addition of the external AED is a fundamental piece in the vision of the La Provvidenza Institute to ensure not only a welcoming and supportive environment for its users, but also to extend its mission of care and safety to the wider community of Busto Arsizio.
